I vow to wear more eyeshadow and this I am doing. I even went as far as to rock white eyeliner instead of black which is a very big step for me. Ill probably post all the eyeshadow and eyeshadow products Ive managed to get my hands on this month as I knew this would be bad for my bank account but I will share which items I decided to start with first! MAC X Beyoncé Collaboration - FAKE!!!

It seems that once again it is proven that the powers of social media are insanely large and even something that is supposed to be art can turn into one of the hardest lessons learnt! This time the tables were turned on UK based graphics designer Toby Page and it seems that maybe he had just a little to much time on his hands. Sometime in December (this is when I heard about the collection and story) a image was released depicting a concept of a MAC collaboration with Beyoncé dubbed the MAC X Beyoncé collection which seen six new lipsticks which the Internet was calling the pink bullets because of the new pink instead of silver packaging.

The image which instantaneously went viral, seen Toby receiving quite allot of hate mail and bashing on various social media platforms. He quickly tried to back track his steps and posted an apology on his Instagram page @itstobypage to his 11 thousand followers but it seems the damaged had already been done and the dreams of devoted Beyoncé fans were crushed!

I am by far the biggest Beyoncé fan, in fact I don't even like her but I hope this is a lesson learned and that others don't take the power of social media so lightly in the future. Also you cannot mess with devoted makeup lovers minds like that! On the other hand concepts like this is how projects come to be so who knows what the future might hold. I am totally loving the pink bullet idea so let's hold thumbs that MAC takes notes!

The Test Box - Sample Subscription Service Review

The concept of a sample box is nothing new even to us forgotten folk down here in South Africa. But for those of you who don't know what it is, it basically is a paid monthly subscription service where you receive  a box of a couple of samples for you to try out, that's literally it no major scientific description behind it. It is nothing new to us but we don't have a really big selection of companies to choose from, in steps a company that has made our choice just a little bit easier.

Even though there are subscription service available in South Africa The Test Box has upped the ante  in the hair and beauty subscription boxes department. The Test Box will only carry professional beauty brands not available in your local beauty stores. And the best part is that they will not contain any sample sachets in any of their boxes, all products will be travel sizes which means you will actually get to test out a product. When I received my test box a couple of weeks ago I was told that the subscription service would only start running in March of this year but if you check out their website here you will see that it has actually been made available already. The subscription service will cost you R160 and delivery is free of charge and will be delivered to your door, you can choose to take a three, six or twelve month subscription and your able to pay via debit order. They do also offer a online store where your able to buy the full size products, some of the brands available are Kevin Murphy, MoroccanOil, GHD and American Crew.
